They in turn commissioned Marcus Replicas to produce the sculpture tableaux and Elizabeth and co sculptor Dennis Morton worked on the figures for the animated scenes for over 2 years.
When the figures were completed and the tableaux assembled, Elizabeth then hand painted the backgrounds for each of the scenes before they were shipped off to Australia.
On the hour, heralds atop the four turrets sound a summmons for all visitors and tourists to come and watch as each scene appears in turn on either side of the clock and performs its own animation - with perhaps the most popular scene being the actual beheading of Charles 1!
